The Utah Plum is published by The Plum Media Foundation, a Utah nonprofit corporation operating as a nonpartisan newsroom. We are currently a fiscally sponsored project of the All In For Utah Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are funded by grants and donations.
Transparency about who funds us is part of earning our readers’ trust. Our policy:
We publicly disclose all donors who give $5,000 or more in a calendar year. Our current major supporters are listed below.
We accept anonymous gifts only below that threshold, and anonymous funding will never exceed 15 percent of our annual budget.
We do not accept donations from anonymous sources through donor-advised funds or other intermediaries structured to conceal a major donor’s identity.
Donations do not buy influence. All gifts are accepted under our Editorial Independence Policy, and we will decline or return any gift conditioned on control over our journalism.
We will make our annual Form 990 tax filings publicly available on this page once filed. Until our first filing, financial information is available on request at nick@theplum.org.
